Painted the mantel

I tried to take the kids to the pool for the last time this season to try out their new masks from grandma Marilyn but it was thundering. So this is what we decided to do instead.

Our baby is learning to read and write! Last night he helped me read. Every time it said "the", "a", or "I" he read it. It's so nice to be able to read with him. And when we finished the story he was really proud. He's doing so great. And he really likes school and is making friends.

Before and after. Ted did a great job! He pieced it all together at home and then put it together up here. It makes such a big difference!

And then there were two. (But in a happy way.) Ray and Ted are going to finish the built ins tomorrow!!
