I love underwear! We bought Evan big boy underwear. He has transformers, Thomas the train, and cars now. He got to pick out the last two. I've tried the padded training pants on him but they don't seem to have much effect so we decided to try real underwear. It started off rocky this morning. We went through four pairs by like 10:30. I gave him his milk and then tried to get him to go potty before I fed grace at 11. He didn't do much. So I started making grace lunch. All of the sudden he came running in from the living room yelling pee pee on the potty. So I rushed him to the bathroom. His underwear were dry and he peed in the potty! I noticed when I tried to put his underwear back on that the back was wet and so were his pants. But that means that halfway through he had to have stopped himself and came and got me. So I put a diaper on him since he was going down for a nap after he had lunch. I put him in his chair a little bit later he yelled "pee pee on the potty. Get me out. So i took him to the potty. His underwear was dry and he peed. So five minutes later he told me he needed to pee pee on the potty. (I forgot to mention that this morning when he had accidents he would tell me right away that he had peed on bumblebee. That's the transformer he was wearing. This is a big improvement. Usually he doesn't say anything.) Anyway he said he needed to pee. He had just gone so I told him we would go after lunch. Later while I was cleaning him up he said "Change my diaper. I need a new one." I figured I would so he gets used to a dry diaper. However when I changed him he was dry. So we sat on the potty and he peed again. After nap time we went to the store. I put a regular diaper on to avoid a mess. He still peed and pooped and I never heard about it. When we got home though I put underwear back on him. He told me he needed to potty four times between 5 and 5:30. Every time I rushed him to the potty and every time he was dry and peed in the potty. He went from 5:30 till six without any potty breaks and then at six yelled, "pee pee on the potty". And he went again. He made it through dinner and didn't say anything by bed time. So I put him on the potty and he said he didn't need to go but did end up pooping before bed. It's crazy how quickly the underwear have made a difference but I'm so glad they have. Evan said he likes his underwear. And he was asking to wear his cars underwear. With his diaper and the padded training pants I had to force him into the bathroom every hour. And today he told me. I know he's not potty trained yet but I'm extremely happy with our progress!

Yay! Lights on the house. Some of them went out last night so I had to go out this afternoon and find the bad ones. It didn't take too long. But it was cold and rainy. But they look amazing now.

I started hanging lights on the house. The hanging pole I bought makes it so easy. Once I figured out the right technique. I ran out halfway through though so we went out and picked up two more boxes and another net light. I'm going to try to finish them tomorrow during nap time. Although we have a busy day tomorrow; star trek the experience in the morning with the kids, Paula, and Will and then naps and the satellite guy and hanging lights and then putting up the Christmas tree tomorrow afternoon. We were supposed to put it up this afternoon but went for lights and got sucked in to looking for black Friday deals. So hopefully we'll fit everything in this weekend.

Grace has been demanding grown up food for the last couple of days. She's doing really well with it. She likes scrambled eggs, pancakes are a little hard for her. She likes carrots, spaghetti. Oodles and crumbles, gold fish, and wagon wheels. She gets made if you don't keep it coming.

Gracie took her first step! She was standing about six inches away from the couch tonight and all the sudden she took a step! I went crazy and started yelling and she had the biggest smile on her face. She was so proud. I've got to get be at the top of my game now. (Or however the saying goes.)
