The kids and I spent the afternoon at the zoo. Evan loved it. I think his favorite was the hippo tank. He would run from one end to the other, chasing them as they swam.

Ray lowered the mattress in Grace's bed. I went in this morning to get her and she was sitting on her knees, looking over the top of the crib.

Starting to stand

Grace was playing by the toy basket. She pulled herself up to sit on her knees. When I looked over a minute later she was standing while holding onto the side of the basket. She stood there for a few minutes at least.

Evan had a pool play date with his friend matthew this afternoon. The had so much fun. Grace hung out on a mat on the grass and had her pick of toys to chew on.

We took the kids to the city garden today. Ev had a blast. He ran all over the place. Ray and I even held grace near one of the sprinklers. She laughed and tried to grab it. And it was so nice down there. Lots of cool buildings and it was very breezy. It was a wonderful afternoon.

He did it. He pooped in the potty when we got home.

I manipulates pictures I took around the arch and uploaded them to walmart to turn them into art for the house. I have two poster size pictures coming in for the bathroom and a 24x36 canvas for the living room and then two 2x6s of the kids for the frames in the hall way. They should all arrive by the middle of next week!

So I've been putting the kids down by myself the last couple of nights. Usually ray puts grace to bed and then hangs out in the rocking chair while I read Evan bedtime stories. Afterwards Evan points at ray every night and says hug and kiss. But tonight ray was in bed. After story time ev pointed to the chair and said yucka yucka. Night night yucka. See? It took me a couple of times but I figured out he was talking about luca. Who was sitting in the chair. He wanted to give luca a hug and a kiss.

Two of my sweet babies.

The doctor thinks Ray has salmonella. He's on antibiotics now and they took blood work to double check. I guess they'll call if it's something else. Ray felt sick yesterday. He came home from work today at 11 and slept off and on till 8pm. He only got up to go to the doctor and then to get a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia. He's been running a fever since yesterday. But since he took his first dose of antibiotics it's come down a little.

Poor Gracie has a slight temperature. I think she's just teething but the pediatrician wants to see her. So we have an appointment around noon.
