So Evan's second birthday was spent hanging out with me and grace at home. We went shopping this morning and after evan's nap we played outside for a while. It was really windy though and while Evan loved it and would scream with joy everytime it blew, Grace would cry. So it was short lived but he atleast got to be outside for a little while. Evan also had many birthday wishes. He was sang to by ya-ya, gram and aunt Katie. And he got to FaceTime with grandma and grandpa Spencer and uncle Will. He also got a birthday text from Dan. Thank you all for loving our boy so much. He's lucky to have you all and he had a great birthday.

Ryan came up to celebrate Evan's birthday. He got Evan a really cute book called 'bear in underwear'. He also gave him star wars jammies and a 'cars' car. We had lots of fun watching ev play with it in the kitchen. Also a generous contribution to the tv system fund. He and Evan read stories and he was really good at keeping grace happy.

Evan peed in the potty in the living room all by himself! I put his potty in the living room and read him books for 10-15 minutes. He got up a few times to get books and toys and then came back and sat down. He said poop and then got up. I was thinking oh no he has to poop and he's running around naked. But he stood up turned around and looked in the potty. That's when I noticed that he had peed. He's getting to be a big boy.

Evan, Grace, and I waited in line at the apple store with my friend Dorothy and her three year old, David and one year old, Christopher. The ipad 2 was going on sale at 5pm. So we figured getting there at four was plenty of time. Boy were we wrong! The line was ridiculous! It went out from the apple store down the length of the mall and wrapped around and back up the other side past the apple store. When we got there it was a store or two past. By the time we got closer to the door it was all the way down the other side of the mall. So when we got in line the "blue shirts" said that if everyone bought two that there wouldn't be enough by the time it got to us. But we decided to wait because they said that by five they would have vouchers handed out and you'd know if you had one or not. It wasn't till like 6 that we got our voucher and even then they said it only guaranteed an ipad not necessarily the kind or color. So the kids were happy by then, finally sharing the ipad. So Dorothy and I soldiered on. They came around rice to report selling out of the 3GS on the different networks. When we got about five stores away, someone came up and asked the specifics we wanted. When she said, "looks good" I couldn't believe it. We got in not too long after and within ten minutes we were walking out with new ipads and covers. We celebrated by going to California pizza kitchen. I should mention here that our poor husbands were stuck at work until just now actually and that their amazing wives were facing the masses with four kids to score ipads. Although we aren't martyrs we let them know that they owed us big time.

We couldn't get Evan to go bed until 10p last and then he was up every hour crying. And he got up to stay up at 6a. We think he has a cold. His nose is running and he coughs every once in a while. Ray and I are worn out. Both kids were up at 5:30 yesterday morning. We were hoping to catch up on sleep last night but it didn't happen. Grace luckily was very good last night. She went to sleep in her room around 8 and woke up and ate 6 oz at 3 and then went back to sleep until 8a.
