Announcing Piper Lorelei Danemueller!

It took her a long time to get here. Lins started having contractions at 12 pm Tuesday night. My mom took her to the hospital. They kept her there until 4 am. However, she hadn't dialated and her water hadn't broke so they sent her home and told her to call her doctor at 8 am and see what the doctor wanted to do. When she called they made her an appointment for 10 am. She didn't actually see the doctor till 11 am. He determined that she needed to go to the hospital and that they would induce her. They started her on pitocin around 12:30 or so. She had a hard labor. They wouldn't let her have an epidural until she was 4 cm which took a while. And then they couldn't get the dose right or it wasn't in the right place. So she ended up feeling most of her contractions. She finally made it to 6 cm around 6 or 7 pm. However, it took her until like midnight to get to 7 cm. And by 1 am she was only 8 cm. She was in a lot of pain and they gave her some demarol. It didn't do much. They finally decided to have the anesthesiologist give her a double dose because he figured out she was only getting a half dose. Around 1:30 am she was finally comfortable enough to get some sleep. She started pushing around 4 am and Piper arrived at 6:05 am on June the 11th. She's beautiful and healthy. She ended up being 8 lbs and 20 inches long. They're both doing so well infact that they get to go home tonight. Lins isn't sure she's ready for it but she has lots of help with Sean and my parents around.
