Week 23 Developments

So since the ultrasound tech gave us a new due date of March 14th, that means that Baby Spencer is a little older than we thought. So instead of 21 weeks, he's 23. So here's the scoop.
How your baby's growing:
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb.

Oh and I have been having a few minor issues that I assume are related to the pregnancy. The first is that I've gotten dizzy a few times and my blood sugar was low. I read in my book that it's pretty normal and to carry snacks for when this happens. Which I figured but I'm going to mention it to the doctor just to be safe since I already have slight insulin problems.
The second more disturbing issue is that my right hand has been going numb a lot while I'm asleep. I pretty much sleep on my left side so my hand shouldn't be going numb and it seems to take a while for the numbness to wear off. It's a little disconcerting. So I figured I'd mention that too since it seems like a strange symptom.
We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. So we'll see if the doctor has anything to tell us about the baby.
Also the baby has been moving around alot. Today he kicked me three times. Each one was harder than the next like he was trying to get my attention. I told him I knew he was there. Actually he kicking me as I'm writing this.
My mom bought us a crib. It's a beautiful cherry sleigh bed. Very classy. Ray and I spent half of the day on Saturday running around trying to match a dresser and changing table to the crib. They were hard to find but we got a nice set for the baby's room. My parents are coming up this weekend to help put the furniture together and I think Ray's mom is painting the nursery with us next week or so.
We're getting excited, not that we haven't been the whole time. But everything is coming together. We'll have a real little boy soon.
