Week 8 developments

Your baby is now 5/8 of an inch long, about the size of a kidney bean. New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, it's eyelids practically cover it's eyes, breathing tubes extend from it's throat to the branches of it's developing lungs, and it's "tail" is just about gone. It's arms have lengthened, too, and it's hands are now flexed at the wrist and meet over it's heart. It's knee joints have formed, and it's feet may be long enough to meet in front of it's body. In it's brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways.
