Starting Wes on oatmeal. It's a couple weeks early but he's been a bit finicky with his bottles. He did pretty well with the oatmeal. He likes to spit it back out though. We'll have to practice more. But he should be eating food before too long.

I gave Wes his first haircut. I trimmed the long pieces that were still hanging around from when he was born. He's lost a lot of hair but he has a bunch of new short stuff coming in. He'll probably have a full head of hair again in a couple of months.

So the oatmeal didn't do anything. Wes was still up at 4 am. I'll just wait a few more weeks. Hopefully he'll sleep better with real food in his belly.

Trying 1 tbsp of oatmeal in Wes' last bottle of the night tonight. He's sleeping till about 4 am right now. He's dribbling a little bit but doing pretty good with it. And he seems to like the taste.

Future soccer players?

Wes is taking his first nap in his crib in his bedroom. I'm a little nervous because the camera isn't hooked up yet and I'm on the main floor. But I've checked on him a few times and the little champ is sleeping away. He's such a good baby. We've also increased his formula to 6 oz but we keep going back and forth about weather or not it's too much. We're hoping to get him to go 4 hrs in between feedings. Sometimes it's a little over three and sometimes closer to four. With the 4 oz at a time he would only go a couple of hours and sometimes three. So we'll see how it goes. In another month he'll get to start on food!

Sometimes I let Grace switch the laundry for me because she thinks it's fun to work the controls. So this afternoon I asked her to take the laundry out and put it on the couch so I could put it away later. While I was making dinner she told Ray that she was going to fold it. I figured she was just playing around and wading the stuff up. When I went in to tell them it was time to come to dinner, not only had she folded it perfectly she was also putting all of Wes's stuff away where we have it stacked in the bookcase but she also took her and Evan's stuff and set it on the stairs to be taken up later. She is such a great helper! She also is the one that throws the diapers in the diaper genie for me most often. I'm going to have to start putting them to work more often.
