Prepping for Grace's cake. Anyone know what this makes?

Grace is a big girl. She gets to ride facing forward now. Also I know I haven't done Christmas pics yet. I plan to but I'm super busy until Sunday. So I will back track a bit when things slow down.

Christmas is coming a little early at the spencer house since we'll be traveling.

Potty training seems to be working. Evan was really upset when he pooped in his underwear tonight.

Ev is doing good on potty training. Although ray told me I should revise my tactics. I've been putting him on the potty every few hours and ev was staying pretty dry. But he never tells me he needs to go and he doesn't want to go into the bathroom most of the time. Ray suggested letting him tell me. I still ask him sometimes but if he says he no then I try not to force him. I didn't think it was working. He was peeing in his pants a lot. But the last two times today he said he needed to go potty and was only a little wet. So don't tell ray but he might have been right.

Grace is starting to walk on her own and she's doing it a lot. She'll turn around from the couch and walk six or so steps out into the middle of the living room. And she can bend down sometimes and grab a toy and stand back up again before she falls over.

Grace decided at dinner tonight that she wasn't going to eat baby food. She wanted mom's Qdoba instead. So I put a bunch of my vegetarian gumbo on her tray. She couldn't get enough. So I guess for the most part I'm out of the baby food business.

So Evan has had dry diapers over night and during nap time for at least a week. When we leave the house we keep him in a diaper just incase he has an accident but we take him to the bathroom often. I took the kids to st. Charles for the Christmas village stuff and Evan stayed dry from 11am until we came home at about 5:30p and I got him to pee in the potty twice while we were out. He's the best boy in the world!

Grandmas Chocolate chip cookies. Sooo good.

The light show didn't impress them either. Grace slept through it and Evan was into it for about ten minutes and then kept asking to go home. He did like my cookies though. But mostly he just watched his iPod touch. Oh well ray and I had a good time today. Maybe the kids will be more excited next year.

Waiting for santa

We took the kids to see Santa today. Evan was more interested in the fake presents and once we got them to sit with Santa they both just wanted me. But we did get them to sit still long enough for a quick photo. Evan didn't even want to tell him what he wanted this year.

I told ev he was seen santa tomorrow and asked what he was going to tell Santa he wanted. His list; a sled and a star.

Arg! Thanks Ryan. She was taking for ever and the ray and the kids were waiting on me and I didn't even notice. I'll have to take it back and have her fix it.

Riding the atv

Our son is so smart. He had a dry diaper after nap time. No accidents today. He pooped in the potty twice. We were at dinner tonight and towards the end Evan said "I have to go pee pee in the potty." I took him and his diaper was mostly dry and then he peed in the potty. We were so amazed. He seems to be picking it up quick. He's also sorting pee pee and poo poo. For a long time he thought everything was called poo poo. I know not the best topic but we're still proud of how well he's doing.

I finished my stocking hanging sign. Ray Drilled the holes for the knobs. Now I just have to figure out where to put it.
