Evan took a nap from 12:20-2:52. I switched him to one nap last week. But so far he usually sleeps an hour and a half. That's half of what I would like. If he sleeps till 2 I'd be happy. But he's usually up by 1:30 and then he doesn't go to bed until 7:30 and is cranky. So I was ecstatic today. I had time to finish up the laundry, do dishes and sit down for a while.

We bought Evan a potty. He thinks it's a toy and isn't very fond of sitting on it. But ray thinks it's good enough now just to teach him it's a potty and say are you going potty when he starts grunting. We'll have to see how it goes. I also bought our little girl some cute summer clothes on sale yesterday.

Our little boy is a climber not afraid of anything. The last day or so he has started climbing to the top of the recliner to look through the window at me while I'm making dinner. Ray stands and holds him so he doesn't fall. I went into the kitchen to put on some water for Mac and cheese and I hear him talking closer than he was before. I look up and he has scrambled to the top, the very top, of the chair and he has half his body hanging through the window looking super happy to be talking to me. I had to rush over and crab him before he fell of the back of the chair. So when Ray got home tonight he quickly moved it into the other room. Evan definitely helps us minimize.

He speaks! Evan said the words "shoe" and "truck" today. He's been bringing Ray his shoes for a few weeks. I take them from the closet and put them on the floor near the door before we get ready to leave. Evan picks them up and carries them to Ray on the couch. And if we ask him where his shoes are he looks for them and then brings one over. Today while he was walk them around he kept saying "shoe". Then while out drive back from lunch today, a semi drive buy and Evan said "truck". He's super smart! We knew it all along. :)

I am definitely feeling the little one move. He/she has been busy this afternoon. Also big news. We have switched Evan to one nap. I put him down at noon and he's still sleeping. Our goal is 12-3. We hope that helps him go to sleep better at night. He's either been fighting it or staying up and talking to himself for an hour. Oh, he just got up. Two hours and twenty minutes. Not too bad. It makes me a little sad though. He's a big boy now.
